Emancipet’s 4th annual Sit Stay Day is an innovative way for animal-loving Austinites enjoy foodie and pet treats from local Texas businesses while supporting low-cost and free spay/neuter and preventive veterinary care for pets in need. Emancipet is expanding to Killeen/Fort Hood with a new clinic opening in mid-February.

In 2013, Emancipet’s growing network of Spay/Neuter and Healthy Pet Clinics cared for 58,343 pets.

“Every pet we care for is provided with the highest quality medical care, at a price their owners can afford, even if they can’t pay anything at all. Not only is Sit Stay Day unique, fun and delicious, it’s an important piece of helping us meet the growing need for affordable preventive veterinary care and spay/neuter services,” says Emancipet CEO Amy Mills.

On February 13th, 250 Sit Stay Day Kits will be delivered throughout Greater Austin. Each kit contains everything for a romantic dinner for two including Tito’s Handmade Vodka, wine from Fall Creek Vineyards, Mom’s Pasta Sauce from Fischer & Wieser, artisan bread and cheese from Whole Foods Market, plenty of sweets including LoveBean Fudge and  LovePuppies Brownies and healthy snacks from Beanitos and KIND Healthy Snacks.  Also included are treats for dogs and cats and gift cards to local hot spots such as Frank: Hot Dogs + Cold Beer and Zocalo Café.
