AUSTIN—Emancipet will celebrate 17 years of serving pets and their people, and share the organization’s vision for the future at its annual Anniversary Luncheon on Monday, April 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel.
Emancipet’s mission is to make high-quality spay/neuter services and veterinary care affordable and accessible for all pet owners, and the rapidly expanding Austin-based nonprofit now has locations in Austin, Pflugerville, Killeen, and Houston, and will open a clinic in Philadelphia later this year.
More than 500 supporters, community leaders, volunteers, and philanthropists will attend the luncheon, Emancipet’s largest fundraising event. To purchase tables or for more information, go to emancipet.org/events/luncheon/.
In the past year, Emancipet has:
- Served more than 82,000 pets at little or no cost.
- Opened its first clinic in Houston and began construction on its first clinic outside of Texas, in Philadelphia.
- Completed a merger with Animal Trustees of Austin, and fully incorporated ATA’s staff, facility, and programs.
- Celebrated the second anniversary of its Killeen clinic, which is now housed in a permanent space and has served 17,686 pets in need since it first opened.
As exciting as Emancipet’s recent achievements are, the future is even brighter for the growing organization. In 2016, Emancipet expects to serve more than 100,000 pets. In addition, Emancipet will expand its national training and consulting programs for animal welfare organizations. By helping other clinics become more efficient and effective, Emancipet is increasing access to safe, affordable spay/neuter surgeries for animals around the country.
