Emancipet’s mission to make high-quality vet care affordable and accessible to all pet owners cemented their impact this past month with the grand opening of their newest clinic in Central Austin. The 3,900 square ft. state of the art clinic located at 1030 Norwood Park celebrated its opening with CEO Amy Mills, staff including Mayor Adler, donors, community leaders, and animal lovers citywide.
“This new clinic represents the future of Emancipet,” says CEO Amy Mills. “This is our first purpose-built clinic; the largest and most efficient. It will be a model for all of our new clinics going forward.”
The Central Austin location boasts six exam rooms, three surgical suites, different exits to keep healthy and sick animals separated, digital and dental x-ray, along with blood analysis machines. The vet clinic will also be a central headquarters for medical training and development of new services. Full-service clinics are also offered in Houston, Killeen, Pflugerville, and Philadelphia.
Austin’s updated headquarters will serve as an extension of all locations to drive strategies and educational training for future spay/neuter and medical prevention programs.
The Emancipet Central Austin clinic replaces the previous Cameron Road space which previously housed Animal Trustees of Austin. The two organizations merged together in 2016.
Emancipet Central Austin is open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with healthy pet services available on a walk-in basis. Additional services can be made by appointment online at Emancipet.org or by calling 512-587-7729.
