We believe that people love their pets.

We believe that people want to do what’s best for their pets – and that, when given the opportunity, they’ll do just that.

At Emancipet, we’re on a mission to make veterinary care affordable and accessible to every pet owner – and we’re seeking optimistic lifelong learners with a heart for serving the underserved. We work hard, have fun, and treat each other, our clients, and our patients with kindness. This year we’re celebrating our 20th Anniversary, and we’re especially grateful for our incredible staff.

Our Impact

Since we opened our doors in 1999, our incredible staff have spayed and neutered more than 350,000 pets, and welcomed more than 1 million visitors to our clinics.

We are also no strangers to disaster recovery and are proud of the incredible Emancipet women and men that have helped people and their pets after inclement weather strikes.

Hurricane Maria Relief – Puerto Rico

We’ve participated in several trips to Puerto Rico as part of the Humane Society of the United States’ Spayathon for Puerto Rico project. As a matter of fact, we’re going back out for ROUND 5 this October/November.

The project aims to bring relief to pet owners in need on the still devastated island, which is still struggling to recover from the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Maria.

To help quantify our impact, in one week, our staff of 24 serves approximately 750 families in a MASH-style clinic. Each pet served receives a free spay/neuter surgery and a vaccine. Truly incredibly work, by truly incredible people.

Hurricane Harvey Relief – Houston, TX

For the first 3 months after the storm, our outstanding clinic staff provided free products and services.

Once our disaster recovery efforts ended, we tallied up the numbers. Here’s a look at what we were able to provide:

  • 1,000 free spay/neuter surgeries
  • 183 free heartworm treatments
  • 13,523 free vaccines
